Town of Tom Bean Elevated Water Tank Reconstruction

This project was the result of an ORCA grant received by the Town. CobbFendley provided the plans, specifications, bidding, and construction administration on the project, which included:

Surface preparation and blasting both the interior and the exterior of the tank
Application of a 3-coat painting system using TNEMEC brand paint
CobbFendley brought the tower up to TCEQ standards by:
    - Replacing the small roof access to 30”
    - Installing a new 30” manway in the ring section of the tank
    - Replacing all vent screens
    - Replacing the existing interior and exterior ladders
    - Replacing the existing expansion joints and seals
    - Welding and repairing interior metal surface
    - Upgrading and upsizing the overflow pipe to TCEQ standards
After installing 2 logos, (the logos were selected in a contest at the local school) the tank was disinfected and placed back  
   into service.
