Cobb Fendley works with municipalities, economic development corporations, universities, private utilities and other clients to implement asset management software that makes the wealth of data available more easily accessible and more functional. We integrate the client’s assets data, such as an inventory of the physical infrastructure-water mains, traffic signals or manholes-with applications data like work order management, inspection schedules or watershed boundaries, and correlate the information using geographic information system (GIS) technology. As a result, the client improves access to the data important for every day decision making as well as long-range planning.
A GIS is capable of storing, manipulating, and displaying geographically referenced information according to its location. Cobb Fendley creates base maps using both field data and aerial photography. Existing facilities are then placed on various layers that can be easily linked to any database. We are experienced with the premier ESRI ArcGIS software, helping clients develop and maintain their GIS.
