AUSTIN |
Land Development Manager/Client Builder |
An energetic professional engineer with management skills is needed to lead and manage the Austin office’s land and site development department. The successful candidate’s most important qualifications:
» At least 12 years experience on projects such as land/site development or municipal design
» Task level management experience
» Some marketing and sales experience
» Capable of managing, developing and hiring staff
» Austin area experience
» Good verbal and written communication skills
» Licensed engineer in Texas
This manager will create and implement marketing and sales plans, manage budgets, develop and manage clients, and manage personnel. At the same time, this professional engineer will continue to be involved with projects as an advisor and quality control manager. The position reports directly to the Austin Office Coordinator and the company’s principals. Excellent benefits including competitive annual compensation and bonus package. |
Transportation and Public Works Engineer/Project Manager |
A licensed civil engineer with Austin-area transportation and public works experience is needed to increase our influence in this sector. The successful candidate’s most important qualifications:
» 7-12 years experience on projects with the Texas Department of Transportation and municipalities
» Austin area experience
» Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to interact with clients and the public
» Licensed professional engineer in Texas
» Strong technical and design skills
» Knowledge of Autocad and other significant software
This engineer will design roadway and other municipal projects, provide technical support and task level supervision. The position reports to the Transportation Regional Manager. Benefits include a competitive compensation package. |
Telecommunications Engineering Technician |
The Telecommunications Department is interested in an Outside Plant (OSP) Design Engineer. Applicant must be familiar with OSP engineering design in aerial, buried and underground cable facilities, including copper and fiber cable. Applicant must also be familiar with pole line and underground structure design. The successful candidate’s qualifications must include:
» Minimum 5 years experience (experience with a private utility provider a plus)
» Ability to read and research client files and records
» Ability to read and interpret civic roadway plans and files
» Strong Computer skills, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products
» Ability to coordinate with client and other project related organizations
» Good written and verbal communication skills
» Must be able to travel, occasionally, to out of town project locations

DALLAS |
Utility Project Engineer |
A civil engineer with experience researching and designing vital private or public utility systems such as water, electric, gas, telephone distribution systems, sewers and drainage. The successful candidate’s most important qualifications:
» Minimum 3 years relevant experience
» Licensed engineer in Texas or able to achieve licensure in one year
» Strong computer skills in Autocad, Geopak and/or Microstation
The engineer will work both independently and with a team, as well as interact closely with clients. This position reports to the Regional Utility Solutions Manager. Minimal travel will be required. Benefits include a competitive compensation package. |
Registered Professional Land Surveyor |
An experienced Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) will serve as a project manager over multiple surveying projects in our growing Dallas office. The successful candidate’s most important qualifications:
» At least 3 years experience as a RPLS (Texas license and Dallas area experience preferred)
» Project management experience on various survey projects including, but not limited to: boundary, topographic, right-of-way maps, horizontal and vertical control networks for GPS and preparation of metes and bounds descriptions
» Experience with TxDOT and municipal survey projects preferred
» GIS and ArcView experience is also beneficial
Job site visits will be essential so the applicant should be willing to travel approximately 10% of the time. Software knowledge should include Trimble Geomatics Office version 1.62 & Trimble Total Control version 2.7. Hardware utilized by our firm includes Trimble GPS units (VRS, Radio-RTK, and static). This position has great potential and will be responsible for identifying and hiring additional staff when appropriate. This position reports directly to the company’s operation officer. |
Site Development Engineer |
Our site development department’s new project manager/engineers will design multi-acre commercial, industrial and multi-family developments. The project manager/ engineer will be responsible for budgeting, coordinating drafting and surveying personnel and maintaining positive client relations as they design the drainage, detention, grading, and utility connections for new site developments. The successful candidate’s most important qualifications:
» Licensed engineer in Texas
» 6-12 years experience in site development engineering in the Houston area
» A strong background in drainage, detention, grading, utility availability letters, and the general development process
» Experience managing projects, including budgets

AutoCAD Technician/Designer |
The Frisco office, which specializes in public works and utility design, is seeking a candidate with experience and enthusiasm to join a hard-working team of professionals. The successful candidate’s most important qualifications:
» Three years of professional drafting experience in AutoCAD Land Desktop or Civil 3D programs for various civil engineering projects including transportation, utilities, and drainage projects
» AutoCAD skills should include using line styles, reference files, global and local coordinates, importing and exporting images
» Ability to read utility records and survey notes
» Experience creating plan and profile drawings

A qualified engineer with experience designing natural gas distribution systems is needed in the Utility Coordination and Design Department. The engineer would be involved with the design services associated with facility upgrades or system rearrangements resulting from proposed municipal capital improvements projects throughout Texas. The qualified engineer must have experience working with plan and profile construction drawings associated with roadway and underground utility improvements within public rights-of-way. The successful candidate’s most important qualifications:
» Minimum of 5 years experience with a BSME or BSCE
» Strong computer skills
» Transmission and/or distribution experience
» Pressure station design experience
