2008 Engineering Excellence Award for AT&T Hurricane Mapping Project:
CobbFendley was awarded the gold medal in the surveying and mapping technology category of the 2008 Engineering Excellence Awards by the Texas Council of Engineering Companies. CobbFendley’s Hurricane Mapping Project, completed for AT&T-Texas, consisted of utilizing geographic information systems (GIS) technology to aid in rebuilding AT&T-Texas’ telecommunications infrastructure more efficiently in the event of a disastrous scenario. The Engineering Excellence Awards honor and recognize outstanding achievements within the engineering community. Projects are judged on uniqueness, originality, technical process, value to the engineering profession, complexity, and how successfully the project met the needs of the client.


Zweig Letter Hot Firm 2008 Honorable Mention:
CobbFendley has received the “Zweig Letter Hot Firm 2008 Honorable Mention” award as one of the fastest growing engineering firms in the country. This annual list, conducted by management consulting and research firm Zweig White Information Services, features the top design and environmental firms that have outperformed the economy and competitors to become industry leaders. CobbFendley’s three-year consistent growth rate in gross revenue contributed to being named to the list. The Zweig Letter 2008 Hot Firm List is limited to firms based in the United States and Canada that derive the majority of their revenues from the practice of architecture, engineering, planning, environmental consulting, or allied disciplines.
